Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 October 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how ThalorSites (“ThalorSites”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. ThalorSites is a service of THALOR LABS PTY LTD (ABN 69 702 519 113), operated from New South Wales, Australia.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy applies to the businesses we build websites for, and to visitors who submit enquiries through those websites or through this one.
2. Our role and our customer’s role
When you engage us to build and look after your website, we collect and handle your business’s information as the entity responsible for it.
When a visitor submits an enquiry on a website we host for one of our customers, that enquiry is collected on behalf of that customer. They decide how they use those details to respond. We process it on their behalf to deliver it to their admin and to notify them.
3. Information we collect
Enquiries to us: your name, business name, email address, phone number, suburb or town, current website and whatever you tell us in the message, submitted through the forms on this site.
Customer information: the details needed to build and run your site — business name, contact details, service area, opening hours, pricing, logo, photographs and copy — and the sign-in details for your admin.
Enquiry information: what a visitor submits through a site we host for you, such as their name, contact details and message.
Technical information: information collected automatically when you use the service, such as IP address, device and browser type, and which pages were viewed.
Payment information: we do not process card payments on this site and do not store card numbers. Subscription billing is handled by our payment provider; we receive limited details such as billing status.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to reply to enquiries, to design, build, host and maintain your website, to deliver enquiries to your admin, to provide support, to administer billing, to maintain security, and to improve the service.
We may use your contact details to send you service-related messages about your account and your site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiry details for marketing.
5. Disclosure to service providers
We disclose personal information to service providers who help us run the service, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for the purposes we specify. These include our cloud hosting and database providers, our email delivery provider, and our domain registrar.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a sale or restructure of our business.
6. Overseas disclosure
We store customer and enquiry data in Australia. Some service providers may process limited information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the APPs.
8. Data security and retention
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.
If a visitor wishes to access or correct an enquiry held by one of our customers, that request should generally go to that business, as they are responsible for it. We will assist them where appropriate.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us using the details below and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date above. Material changes will be communicated to customers where reasonable.
